In all the countries of the world people and institutions that make industrial designs require a procedure to request the registration to the corresponding instances. In the Dominican Republic these registrations are applied to the National Office for Intellectual Property (ONAPI). Since its establishment, ONAPI has made every effort to fully guide those involved in designing and creating procedures and equipment to help the country's development. To make this process of guidance more systematic, ONAPI has published this Guide for the registration of Industrial designs.
